"Aliens" and "Big Love" star Bill Paxton is in talks to direct the film version of the classic 1972-75 TV series "Kung Fu" says Deadline.
The original series followed a Shaolin monk (David Carradine) as he wanders the American West. The monk wants peace but usually winds up using his martial arts skills against bad guys.
John McLaughlin will write the script
Production will (ahem) kick off next Summer in China.
Paxton helmed the very good pics "Frailty" and "The Greatest Game Ever Played".
