Carney And Carrell Team For "Dogs Of Babel"

John Carney has been hired to direct the drama "Dogs of Babel" reports The Los Angeles Times.

Based on the debut novel from Carolyn Parkhurst, the story concerns a professor (Steve Carell-) who tries to coax his dog to speak out about the death of the professor's wife, to which the canine was the only witness.

Jamie Linden adapted the script

Carell and David Heyman will produce.

Carney's next flick is the just finished shooting indie supernatural drama "The Rafters".
