The pic follows twin teens (Joel Courtney and Isabelle Fuhrman) who go on a camping trip with their ailing father (James Le Gros) only to become lost in a haunted forest.
Dyer will play a mysterious being sent to protect Courtney's character from the various creatures that are out to destroy him.
Serafini wrote the script and will call action.
Giuseppe Pedersoli and Susan Johnson are producing.
Production starts next week in North Carolina.
