Jason Bateman has signed on for two indie projects - "Disconnect" and "The Longest Week"  according to Variety.


"Disconnect" is a Crash-style ensemble that deals with characters who are affected, and in some cases destroyed, by the Internet and other forms of modern communication.

Alexander Skarsgård Michael Nyqvist, Frank Grillo Andrea Riseborough,  and Colin Ford also star.

"Murderball" helmer Henry Alex Rubin will call action using Andrew Stern's script

Mickey Liddell, William Horberg and Jennifer Hilton Monroe will produce.

Meantime in 'Week', Bateman plays an affluent and aimless young man living in his parent's prestigious Manhattan hotel. In the span of one week, he finds himself evicted, disinherited and in love.

Olivia Wilde co-stars 

The film marks the feature directorial debut of Peter Glanz from his own sceenplay.

Neda Armian, Stone Douglass and Taylor Materne are producing the film.

Bateman will shoot both films back-to-back between October and November.
