The site Nuke the Fridge was told by a scooper that he or she has seen concept art of Russell Crowe as the Jor-El character in Zack Snyder's big budget reboot Superman: Man of Steel File this one as a rumor

According to the description, Crowe will sport a beard similar to Ewan McGregor in "Attack of the Clones".

The costume is a goldish/white armored suit similar to that of Master Chief  (pictured) from the "Halo" video games adding "The suit has the traditional “S” is the middle of his chest and it blends in with the color scheme of the suit. Jor-EL looks more like a soldier than a scientist."
