Jim Carrey is in talks to join the comedy Burt Wonderstone reports Deadline.
Set in the world of rival Las Vegas magicians, Steve Carell stars as a more traditional magic man who is dethroned by a hip younger illusionist and must then find a way to rediscover his love for magic.
Don Scardino directs from a script that has seen its share of writers taking a crack at it including Jason Reitman, Chad Kultgen, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.
Carell, Chris Bender, J.C. Spink and Tyler Mitchell are producing the pic.
