Info Post
(2010) **1/2

Once again, vampires invade a sleepy beachside town, and once again, Edgar Frog is given the task of hunting down and destroying the head vampire. At this point in his life (much like Corey Feldman himself), Edgar Frog is a bit burned out on hunting vampires. He's living in a trailer, and all his allies from the original Lost Boys film have deserted him in one way or another. But along comes the curvaceous author of a popular vampire romance book series (Stephenie Meier if she were an underwear model). Her brother has been kidnapped by a DJ vampire and his band of raver vampire assistants. She needs Edgar's help, and he's in financial straits, and willing to take on one more assignment.

This movie could have easily been three and a half stars if it weren't for the douchebag reality tough guy, who is hired to work alongside Edgar as the muscular vampire killer. He doesn't believe the vampires really exist, and guess what happens to the guys that don't believe. He's annoying, and pointless except to up the body count. Other than a clever jab from Feldman about reality stars, he is cliched and annoying. He's the tall one in the picture below. On the far right is the author - she just came from a Tomb Raider party. Also, (and I'm sure many will disagree), but the lesbian vampira scene was totally random and distracted from the action.

What did work well in this movie, was that it was linked to the original Lost Boys movie much more closely than the previous sequel, Lost Boys: The Tribe. This one contained more references to the original characters as well as clips from the original film. Had Corey Haim been alive to participate in this film, it would have been awesome. They got the other kid from the original film (the other Frog brother), who, looking on imdb, did exactly ONE other feature film between 1987 and 2010, and it shows. Yeah, a Corey & Corey vampire hunting film would have been awesome.

In conclusion, if you liked the original Lost Boys, this one is still worth seeing.
